Graveside services for Brenda Thomas “Mrs. Pitt Stop” Ellisor, 65, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sims Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Frankens officiating.

          Mrs. Ellisor was born October 5, 1951, in Lufkin, the daughter of Austin Thomas and Juanita Taylor, and died Friday, May 12, 2017 at her residence.

          Mrs. Ellisor is survived by her husband, Charles Ellisor, Sr. of Lufkin; daughters, Pamela Ellisor, Nita Pierson and husband, Charles Pierson of Lufkin; stepson, Charles Ellisor, Jr. and wife, Monica Ellisor of Austin; stepdaughter and husband, Stephenie  and Douglas Weldon of Lufkin; grandchildren, Anna Mathews and husband Sean Mathews; Riley Ellisor, Efrain Alberto Jr., Sean Ellisor, Joshua Mason, Jacob Mason, Samuel Ellisor, and Alyssa Ellisor; great grandson, Tanner Colangelo; mother, Juanita Taylor; mother-in-law, Odean Ellisor; sisters, Linda Thomas Roach, Rose Thomas, Becky Bashara, Juanene “Sissy” Oates;  brother, Johnny Forteza; sister-in-law, Gale Ellisor; brother-in-law and wife, Kevin and Carol Ellisor; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her son, Austin Dewayne Thomas; father, Austin Thomas; father-in-law, James Ellisor, and lifelong best friend, Janet Horton.

          Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Anna Mathews, Riley Ellisor, Efrain Alberto Jr., Sean Ellisor, Samuel Ellisor and Alyssa Ellisor.

          In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 209 Christie St., Lufkin, Texas, 75904.

          A viewing and celebration of life will be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Greater Love Tabernacle Church, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
