Brianne Williamson

          Funeral services for Brianne Williamson, 31, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating.

          Ms. Williamson was born September 17, 1986 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of Allen D. Williamson and Cynthia L. (Page) Williamson, and died Friday, April 6, 2018 in Houston.

          Brianne loved softball and animals, especially dogs. She was a true country girl and loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting, especially frog gigging. Brianne had a beautiful smile and always wanted to help others. She never met a stray she didn’t immediately love.  Even after her accident, Brianne touched the lives of many with her strength and resilience. “The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long.”

          Ms. Williamson is survived by her mother, Cynthia Williamson of Houston; father and step-mother, Allen and Tanya Williamson of Leesville, LA; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Rachel Williamson of Houston; nephew and niece, Braxton and Brayleigh Williamson of Houston; grandmother, Pat Williamson of Huntington; best friend, Kim Morgan Hunt of Lufkin; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loved ones.

          Brianne was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dale Williamson; and grandparents, Bill and Kathy Page.

          The family wishes to thank Dr. Kyle Krohn and his staff, the Southland Rehab staff, and the Spanish Meadows staff for their wonderful care, along with the individual nurses and caregivers who treated and loved Brie over the last 14 years.  

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
