Funeral services for Curtis Dean Wilson Sr., 56, of Huntington, will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Marlow Shuebert and Bro. Mark Green officiating. Interment will follow at Ben Walker Cemetery in Huntington.

          Mr. Wilson was born November 6, 1960, in San Bernardino, California, the son of the late Earl Hampton Wilson and Anita Louise Galivan Wilson, and died Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Lufkin.

          Mr. Wilson was a member of the Broaddus United Pentecostal Church, where he was the song leader. He loved baseball and was an avid Houston Astros fan. Mr. Wilson was a devoted Pawpaw and Branson, MO was his wife’s and his home away from home. He was a man that could do anything.

          He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Wilson of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Dean and Tonya Wilson Jr. of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Thomas Berry of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and David Tucker of Huntington; grandson, Ashton Berry; granddaughter, Kerrigan Wilson; grandson, Blayne Berry; granddaughter, Bella Berry; grandson, Logan Tucker; grandson, Chandler Berry; granddaughter, Langston Berry; granddaughter, Laveree Berry; granddaughter on the way, Sloane Faith Berry, all of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Carolyn Wilson of Huntington; brother, David Earl Wilson of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Anita Wilson; and mother-in-law, Anita Apshire.

          Pallbearers will be David Tucker, Thomas Berry, Billy Williams, Manuel Rodriguez, Roy Havard, and Kevin Shoffitt.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Wilson’s grandsons.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Shafer Funeral Home.
