Funeral services for Francisco “Pancho” Ortiz, 57, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, with Fr. Raymundo Garcia officiating.

          Mr. Ortiz was born February 4, 1960 in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, and died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his residence.

          Mr. Ortiz loved his family and to cook barbeque for family gatherings. He also enjoyed repairing jewelry.

          He is survived by wife Norma Mejia of Lufkin; son, Alvaro Mejorado of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Eduardo and Maria Mejorado of Lufkin; and grandson, Cristian Mejorado of Mercedes, Texas.

          Visitation will be held at Monday, December 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., before the funeral service.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, directors.
