Memorial services for Jason William Steubing, 40, of Diboll, will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Sam Henry officiating.

          Jason was born May 2, 1976, in Seguin, Texas, the son of Aubrey Steubing and Jeannette Flynn Steubing and died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in his home.

          Jason grew up in Stephenville, Texas where he was loved by all. He married his wife Revenia in 2012 and they had their daughter in 2013. He loved his family and moved to East Texas last year. Jason loved going to renaissance festivals.  He attended Scarborough Faire and Texas Renaissance Faire as often as he could.

           He is survived by his wife, Revenia Thompson Steubing of Diboll; daughter, Serenity Rose Steubing of Diboll; father, Aubrey Steubing of Sequin, TX; brother, Clay Steubing of Stephenville; sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and Glenn Ward of Borger, TX; niece, Juliann and Adrian Greenfield; nephew, Daniel Steubing of Rising Star, TX; sister-in-law and husband, Angie and Alan Strong of Huntsville, TX; sister-in-law and husband, Debra and Ben Dubberly of Lubbock, TX; brother-in-law and wife, David and Emily Thompson of Wolfforth, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

          Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannette Flynn Steubing; his grandparents; and in-laws, Larry and Sue Thompson.
