Funeral services for Jerry Walter Meece, Sr., 62, of Hudson, will be held Friday, September 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Interment will follow at Dunk Havard Cemetery.

          Mr. Meece was born May 5, 1955 in Yokosuka, Japan, the son of the late Walter Raymond Meece and Mabel Agnes Cryer Meece, and died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Lufkin.

          Jerry worked at Coburn Supply for 44 years, in management and commercial quotations. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerry enjoyed living life, and was always on the go. He loved to travel, and spend time with his family and friends. Jerry always looked forward to the annual W.G.O.C (What goes on Cuz) beach weekend.

          Mr. Meece is survived by his son, Jerry Meece, Jr. of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Dellacy and Justin DuBose of Justin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey Seago and Morgan Walker of Orange, TX; grandson, Hunter Meece of Camp Pendleton, CA; grandson, Andrew Farmer of Lufkin; grandson, Parker Seago of Orange, TX; granddaughter, Georgia DuBose of Justin, TX; grandson, Easton Walker of Orange, TX; granddaughter, Elyse Walker of Orange, TX; great-grandsons, Cooper Meece and Beau Meece, both of Camp Pendleton, CA; brother, Raymond Meece, Sr. of Lumberton, TX; nephew and wife, Raymond, Jr. ad Erin Meece of Lumberton, TX; mother of his children, Shawn Meece Maselli of Lufkin; and friend, Stefanie Parker of Lufkin.

          Pallbearers will be Michael Shepherd, Andrew Farmer, Raymond Meece, Jr., Justin DuBose, Jason White, Morgan Walker, and Parker Seago.

          Honorary Pallbearer will be Hunter Meece.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Shafer Funeral Home.
