Jonathan Llanas

          Funeral services for Jonathan Llanas, 57, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, February 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Shafer Funeral Home Chapel.

          Mr. Llanas was born April 21, 1960 in Piedras Negras, Mexico, the son of Isidro Llanes and Rosa Puente, and died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mr. Llanas enjoyed singing for his family. He was a very hard worker and loved his family.  Mr. Llanas loved a good joke, and was a very happy, caring person.

          He is survived by his son, Jonathan Llanas; son and daughter-in-law, Dario Daniel and Ana Maria Mejia Llanas; grandsons, Johnathan Llanas III,
Thiago Llanas, and Dario D. Llanas; granddaughter, Maria Cristina Llanas; brother, Victor Llanes; and sisters, Noemi Bowden, Maria Magdalena Llanes, Cecilia Munoz, Ana Alvares, Blanca Villanueva, Yesenia Castillo, Rosy Cermeno, and Sandra Turner.

          Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., following the visitation.
