Memorial services for Joni K. Johnson, 64, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church in Pollok.

          Ms. Johnson was born August 23, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of Carl & Marie Johnson and passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 in Lufkin.
          Joni was a very loving, caring and tenderhearted person who never had an unkind word to say about anyone.  She lived all her life in Angelina County where she retired from the Angelina County Treasurers Office. She also worked at Lufkin National Bank and Sears. She loved children, cats, music, her family and friends and God with all her heart. Her Nieces, Nephews, Grand-Nieces and Nephews were just like her own, and were very special to her.
          Ms. Johnson is survived by her Husband, Stephen M. Devine of Lufkin and his children, Merle Anthony Devine, Sandra Milena Ewing, Kari Parfait-Perkins; Mother, Marie Johnson of Lufkin; sister, Sherry Elter and husband Terry of Natchitoches, LA; Brother, Barry Johnson of New Caney, TX; Nieces, Jennifer & Jamie; Nephews, Clint & Justin; Grand-Nieces and Nephews, Maddie, Christian, Mekenzie & Jack.
          She was preceded in death by her father, Carl C. Johnson.
          Memorial donations may be directed toward the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, directors.
