Funeral services for José Antonio “Tonó” Luna, 55, of Diboll, will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Ricardo Coss officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.

          Mr. Luna was born February 8, 1962 in Corralitos, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Jose M. Luna and Isabel Santana Luna, and died Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Mexico.

Toño was a homebuilder by trade. He married his high school sweetheart, Becky, and they were married for 38 years. They had five beautiful daughters, four of which gave him his greatest joy, his grandchildren. Toño loved his family, and would do anything to make them happy. He could build anything you asked him to, and would always get it right the first time. Toño took pride in his work. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially playing with his grandchildren. Toño absolutely loved music, and loved to dance. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but he is now in Heaven with his dad. We know this because he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

          He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Luna; daughters and sons-in-law, Amabel Luna Trujillo and Jonathan Trujillo, Betty Lou and Faustino Lopez III, and Isabel Luna Banuelos and Lewis Banuelos; daughters, Rebecca Luna, and also the baby of the family, Elizabeth Luna; grandchildren, Seth Donaldson, Jonathan Trujillo, Jr., Faustino Lopez IV, Tatiana Lopez, Khaleesi Hernandez, and Lewis Banuelos, Jr.; mother, Isabel Santana Luna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amparo Luna and Jaime Herrera, Yesenia and Julio Franco, Irma and Romualdo Sanchez; sister, Celia Luna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jose M. and Maria Luna Jr., and Elias and Desi Luna; and brother, Gerardo Luna.

          Toño was preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria Luna.

          Pallbearers will be Jose M. Luna Jr., Gerardo Luna, Elias Luna, Jonathan Trujillo, Faustino Lopez III, and Lewis Banuelos.

          Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
