Memorial visitation for Oralia Morales, 79, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, May 8, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

          She was born March 25, 1938 in Raymondville, Texas, the daughter of Pedro Cantu and Julie Cantu, and died, May 7, 2017 in Lufkin.

          Ms. Morales loved to sew and cook and was great at both. She enjoyed her coffee. Most of all, Ms. Morales was a loving grandmother and great grandmother.

          She is survived by her son, Freddie Morales of Lufkin; daughter, Elida Garcia of Dallas; son, Edward Morales of Lufkin; daughter, America Morales of Lufkin; grandsons, Alec Burns, Jose (Big Jr.) Perez, Javier Garcia, Toi Garcia, Paul Saucedo, Hector Morales and Antonio Martinez, Jr.; granddaughters, Dalia Thompson, Oralia (Khrystina) Morales and Sonya Martinez; 23 great grandchildren; sister, Melda Ramirez; cousin, Joe Morales; cousin, Leonardo Pena, Jr.; and cousin, Anita Morales.

          Ms. Morales is preceded in death by her parents; son, Hector Morales; along with one sister and one brother.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
