Rayburn Thomas "Tommy" Grimes

         Funeral services for Rayburn Thomas “Tommy” Grimes, 55, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Shafer Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at Fielders Cemetery.

          Mr. Grimes was born August 15, 1962 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of Elvis Grimes and Peggy (Self) Grimes, and died Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Lufkin.

          He loved to go to the Off-Road Parks to have a good time. Mr. Grimes was a good honest man, mechanic, and friend.

          Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife, Renee Grimes; daughter and son-in-law, Tonja and Wade Jabbour; step-sons, Robert Rodriquez and David Chrisco; grandsons, Kaleb, Kade and Anthony; granddaughter, Anna; mother, Peggy Grimes; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Tami Grimes; and special friends, “Big” David, Randy Davis, Clark Fipps, and Adrian Way.

          He is preceded in death by his father, Elvis L. Grimes; and grandparents, Cotton and Lorene Colbert, and Rayburn and Alma Grimes.

          Pallbearers will be Numen Grey, Paul Hope, David Grimes, Stewart Flurry, Gary Browning, and Clark Fipps.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
