Memorial services for Raymond Steve Moses, 69, of Lufkin, will be held at a later date.

          Mr. Moses was born July 6, 1948 in Pittsburg, Texas, the son of the late Sarah Love Moses and Verna Faye (Brown) Moses, and died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Lufkin.

           He enjoyed spending time with his family.

          Mr. Moses is survived by his wife of 35 years, Melanie Moses of Lufkin; son, Brent Moses of Gilmore, TX; son, Scott Moses of Jacksonville, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Moses of Zachery, LA; daughter, Sally Moses of Lufkin; granddaughter, Katy Moses of Cushing, TX; grandson, James Moses of Cushing, TX; granddaughter, Amanda Moses of Cushing, TX; granddaughter, Delaney Moses of Kilgore, TX; grandson, Nicholas Moses of Gilmore; great-granddaughter, Arabella Moses of Jacksonville, TX; sisters, Sarah Fielden and Joy Allen, both of Gilmore, TX; sister,  Judy Sandlin of Tennessee; brothers, Phillip Moses and Michael Moses, both of Gilmore, TX; and brother, Doug Moses of Tennessee.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Moses; and son, Justin Case Moses.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, directors.
