Memorial services for John G. Nash, 67, of Magnolia, Texas, will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Ty Martin officiating.
Mr. Nash was born on November 15, 1956, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Johnny Bell Nash and Elma (Moss) Nash, and died Sunday, April 21, 2024, in Montgomery County, Texas.
Mr. Nash was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and riding Harley motorcycles. Mr. Nash loved to ride the river and scoot across the dance floor at a good Honky-tonk. He had a talent for being a great artist.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tina L. Pierce of Magnolia; son, Jason Nash of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Gabrielle Nash of Lufkin; daughter, Kristen Nash of Alvin, TX; son and fiancé, Dylan Nash and Amber of Temple, TX; stepson and wife, Taylor Matthew and Taylor Pierce of Magnolia; granddaughter, Gabby Nash; granddaughter, Maddy Nash; grandson, Robert Nash; grandson, Sammy Jo Nash; step granddaughter, Kenley Pierce; step granddaughter, Kylie Pierce; sister and brother-in-law Elisha Kay and C.W. White of Apple Springs, TX; nephew, James Gibson; niece and husband, Beverly and Stephen Netherton; niece, Jennifer Morado; nephew and wife, James Robbie and Amanda Arriola; brother-in-law, Ray Baxter; great nieces, Brooklyn Netherton, Cambree Netherton, Hannah Wilson, Sofia Morado, and Jessica Lofton; and great nephews, Caleb Netherton, Tristen Morado, Jackson Morado, and Jacob Arriola.
Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly Arriola and Shirley Ann Baxter; and grandson, Michael John-Caleb Nash.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Nash, Justin Nash, Dylan Nash, Robbie Arriola, and C.W. White.
