Funeral services for Teresa (Drake) Phillips, 73, of Woden, will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Phillips was born on June 12, 1950, at Eglin Air Force Base in Okaloosa County, Florida, to the late Jewel Dowell Drake and Mable (Johnson) Drake, and died Sunday, March 10, 2024, in Houston.
Mrs. Phillips was of the Pentecostal faith. She worked as a surgical nurse and in the Cath Lab. Mrs. Phillips had many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, and crafting. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. Mrs. Phillips loved flowers, The Dallas Cowboys, and watching Jacob rodeo. Above all, she loved her family more than anything.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeremy Jernigan of Bullard, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and JoAna Lamon of Wells, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Charles Spradlin of Franklin, GA; son, Chase Phillips of Woden, TX; son, Kyle Phillips of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Kasey Pawlak of Wells, TX; grandson, Stephen Pawlak of Washington D.C.; granddaughter, Destini Tobias of Villa Rica, GA; grandson, Tyler Lamon of El Paso, TX; grandson and wife, Keagan and Erin Spradlin of Franklin, GA; grandson, Tony Williams of Lufkin; grandson, Colby Lamon of Wells, TX; grandson, Jacob Lamon of Wells, TX; grandson, Kason Little of Woden, TX; granddaughter, Kylie Little of Woden, TX; grandson, Matheson Phillips of Denver, CO; great-granddaughter, Gracie Toburen; great-grandson, Bentley Toburen; great-granddaughter, Brylee Williams; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Williams; great-grandson, Noah Lamon; sister, Lois Carr of Tulsa, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her fur baby, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Phillips; brothers, Gerald Drake and Eddie Drake; and sister, Vivian Sifford.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Lamon, Keagan Spradlin, Colby Lamon, Jacob Lamon, Tony Williams, Kason Little, James Sifford, and T.G. Drake.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Langston, Trey Langston, Elwin Lamon, Kelvin Lamon, and Brandon Fitts.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home.
