Graveside services for Charles B. Taylor, 35, of Kennard, will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Sand Flat Cemetery in Pollok with Rev. Lynn Stroud officiating.
Mr. Taylor was born February 20, 1983 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of Charles Mark Taylor and Linda (Butler) Currie, and died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Taylor loved fishing, hunting, and going to rodeos.
He is survived by mother and step-father, Linda and John Currie of Kennard; aunt, Judy Horsley of Pollok; aunt, Ruthie Benson of Wells; aunt and husband, Teresa and Rick Currie of Kennard; aunt and husband, Betty and James Currie of Kennard; uncle, Ronnie Butler of Forest, TX; uncle, William Earl Butler of Wells; uncle and wife, Robert and Shirley Butler of Wells; uncle and wife, Billy and Tammy Butler of Wells; along with numerous cousins, family members, and friends.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mark Taylor; grandfather, Truman Butler; and grandmother, Billie Louise Butler.
Pallbearers will be Earl Butler, Randy Currie, Danny Currie, Josh Currie, Robert Horsley, and Johnathan Horsley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Butler and Scott Allen Currie.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice in the Pines for the love and care given to Mr. Taylor.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
