Christopher Reed Hicks

          Graveside services for Christopher Reed Hicks, 67, of Apple Springs, Texas will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the Andice Cemetery in Andice, Texas with Dusty Pyle officiating.

          Mr. Hicks was born December 11, 1951 in Grand Saline, Texas, the son of late Walter Reed Hicks and Dorothy Beth (Chapple) Hicks, and died Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his residence.

          Mr. Hicks is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Karen Hicks of Victoria, TX; sister, Gail Nash of Apple Springs, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Gary O’Brian of Channelview, TX; nephew and wife, Moses and Shonny Nash of Orange, TX; nephew and wife, Jake and Teresa Nash of Apple Springs, TX; nephew, Cris Nash of Apple Springs; nephew, Tracy Hicks of Victoria, TX; nephew, Patrick O’Brian of Channelview, TX; niece, Sara Molina of Channelview, TX; niece, Autumn O’Brian of Channelview, TX; and nephew, Cameron O’Brian of Channelview, TX.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Charlee “Daw Daw” Chapple; and sister, Kathy Sue Hicks.

          Pallbearers will be Moses Nash, Jacob Nash, Cris Nash, Clay Nash, Dusty Pyle, and Justin Hildebrand.

          Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Brown.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
