Clarice LaVerne Joslin, 87, of Nacogdoches, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 24, 1930 in Sikes, Louisiana, to the late Rev. James Arnold Head and Nora Erskins Head.

          Mrs. Joslin adored her family above everything. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, fishing, reading, and Willie Nelson.

          She is survived by her daughter, Frances LaVerne Clamp of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Dianne and William Kinney of Missouri City, TX; granddaughter and husband, Bonnie and Bryan McClelland; grandson and wife, Ray and Ronnett McCracken; grandson and wife, Robert and Tina McCracken; grandson and wife, Christopher and Ami Norton; granddaughter and fiancé, Nicole Norton and Christopher Thompson; along with 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

          Mrs. Joslin was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. James Arnold and Nora Head; and husband, Robert Lee Haddox.

          Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA  30329.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, directors.
