Curtis W. Greening

          Funeral services for Curtis W. Greening, 65, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Bald Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Fancher officiating. Interment will follow at the Gilbert Chapel Cemetery.

          Mr. Greening was born May 4, 1952 in Appleby, Texas, the son of C.E. “Bud” Greening Sr. and Ruby Lee Clifton Russell Greening and died Monday, March 12, 2018 at his residence.

          Mr. Greening was a co-owner of Herman Power Tire and serviced all of Angelina, Nacogdoches and surrounding counties for 35 plus years. He enjoyed classic cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

          He is survived by his wife, Tiege Greening; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Kristin Greening; son, Trenton Greening; daughter and son-in-law, Tonja and Zeb Childers; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jimale Shine; grandchildren, Allen Shine, Ana Greening, Ashton Childers, Jasmine Shine, Halle Shine, Owen Greening, Emersyn Greening, and Scarlett Greening; sisters, Jean Rushing and Doris Vanover; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Lori Greening; fur baby, Annie; special friends, Dalene Real Greening Coleman, Greg Cayton, and Charles B. Caver; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

          Mr. Greening is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Payton Russell, and C.E. Greening Jr.; and sisters, Jay Merle Penney and Margie Dickerson.

          Pallbearers will be Jarrod Greening, Jerry Lilly, Trenton Greening, Jarrett Moore, Zeb Childers, Greg Cayton, and Ashton Childers.

          The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Jennifer, Lydia, and Shelly.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
