D. Lee Jackson

          Funeral services for D. Lee Jackson, 70, of Wells, will be held Friday, February 16, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Shafer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Rose officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

          Mrs. Jackson was born November 10, 1947 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the daughter of the late William Roy Morton and Olive Josephine (Powers) Morton, and passed Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at her residence.

          Mrs. Jackson was an animal lover and loved her family.

          She is survived by her husband, Doyle Jackson of Wells; son and daughter-in-law, Bo and Sigrid Jackson of Ft. Polk, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Adriana Jackson of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and James Edwards of Alto; step-daughter, Mary McClendon of Corrigan; step-daughter, Rhonda Cannon of Douglass; grandchildren, Katharina Pearson, Christopher Jackson, Benjamin Jackson, Victoria Jackson, Ana Cristina Jackson, Ashley Allen, Wesley Jackson, Arrianna Jackson, Dakota Jackson, Kegan and Kianna Sessions, Jordan and Emilee Sessions, Nathaniel and Kyleigh Sessions; 13 great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Velma Rash of Wells.

          Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, William and Olive Morton; and husband, Donald Jackson.

          Pallbearers will be Dakota Jackson, Kegan Sessions, Jordan Sessions, Nathaniel Sessions, Wesley Jackson, and Benjamin Jackson.

          Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Jackson.

          Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the funeral service.
