David Nevelle Hewitt

          David Nevelle Hewitt, 69, of Huntington, was born February 1, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Hurbert Hewitt and Mable (Jones) Hewitt, and died Sunday, June 16, 2019 at his residence.

          Mr. Hewitt enjoyed woodworking and loved to fish and go camping. He was a volunteer fireman for the Ora Volunteer Fire Department.

          Mr. Hewitt is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Stephen Davidson of Huntington; son, Michael Hewitt of Etoile; granddaughter, Taylor Davidson of Huntington; granddaughter, Haley Davidson of Huntington; granddaughter, Eowyn Hewitt of Nebraska; granddaughter, Lexus Hewitt of Nebraska; along with numerous brothers, sisters, and other relatives.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Diane Hewiitt.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
