Ellen Felix Guerrero

         Funeral services for Ellen Felix Guerrero, 53, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Lufkin with Bro. Steve Cowart and Rev. Dennis Webster officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

          Ms. Guerrero was born July 30, 1965 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of Gilberto Guerrero Sr. and Wanda Grace (Navarro) Guerrero, and died Monday, November 19, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Ms. Guerrero was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. Her world was her church. Ms. Guerrero taught Sunday School to first and second graders and loved children. She loved being involved in church mission trips, food drives, Toy for Tots, and any kind of volunteer work. Ms. Guerrero also loved to travel.

          She is survived by her father, Gilberto Guerrero Sr. of Lufkin; brother and fiancé, Gilberto Guerrero Jr. and Keisa Dulei of Ft. Hood, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Randall Scott and Jackie Guerrero of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jesus Rodriguez of Diboll; niece, Olivia Guerrero; nephews, Dakota Herbert, Nicholas Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, and Joshua Guerrero; along with special family friends, Courtney Goodman, Kate Goodman, and Cooper Goodman.

          Ms. Guerrero was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Guerrero; and brother, Frank Guerrero.

          Pallbearers will be Cooper Goodman, Dakota Herbert, Nicholas Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Jamie Streetman, Thomas Anderson, and J.W. Byars.

          Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Burton.

          Special memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1641 FM 325, Lufkin, TX 75901.

          Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
