Eugene W. Hedges

           Eugene W. Hedges, 86, of Pollok, was born March 12, 1932 in Peru, Indiana, the son of Louie Hedges and Minnie (Frobaugh) Hedges, and died Monday, November 19, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mr. Hedges was a simple man who was a hard-worker. He loved his family and loved his Lord and Savior. Mr. Hedges was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

          He is survived by his daughter and husband, Peggy and Logan Finch of Pollok, TX; daughter and husband, Jennie and Arnold Yim of California; son and wife, Eugene and Kim Hedges of Sugarland, TX; son and wife, Michael and Sharon Hedges of California; grandchildren, Logan Finch Jr. and wife Kim of Lufkin, Rebekah Phillips and husband Mike of Colorado, Christopher Hedges of Galveston, Melissa Hedges of Colorado, and Lindsay Yim of California; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Emma Finch of Lufkin, and Jessica and Jonathan Phillips of Colorado.

          Mr. Hedges was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Minnie Hedges; and grandson, Chris Thomas.

          Special memorials may be made to Denman Avenue Baptist Church 1807 E Denman Ave, Lufkin, TX 75901 or to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Ave., Lufkin, TX 75904.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
