Herman P. Hugg

         Graveside services for Herman P. Hugg, 69, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Grove Cemetery (located on FM 1818 next to Prairie Grove Baptist Church) with Rev. Christian Collard and Ronnie Lusk officiating.

         Mr. Hugg was born August 16, 1948 in Orange, Texas, the son of George Washington Hugg and Fay A. (McCullough) Hugg, and died Monday, July 30, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mr. Hugg loved to listen to Gospel music. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew. Mr. Hugg always loved to tell a good joke.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Wilman Shuff of Nederland, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Mike Shuell of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Pruett and Debbie Hugg of Alvin, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Truett and Virginia Hugg of Allendale, MI; numerous nieces and nephews; along with special friends, Robert Waltman and Ronnie Lusk.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Yoland Trahan; and brother, Calvin Hugg.
