Graveside services for Irma Duke, 92, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Berry Cemetery with Bro. Ty Phillips officiating.

          Ms. Duke was born May 27, 1925 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Oscar August Dorman and Mary Louise Nerren Dorman, and died Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Lufkin.

          She loved working in her garden. Ms. Duke worked at Perry Brother’s for 37 years. She was beloved by her family, her church family, and her community.

          Ms. Duke is survived by her son Kenneth Ray Duke of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Anthony and Heather Duke of Lufkin; grandson, Eric Duke of Florence, KY; grandson and wife, Matthew and Annette Duke of Indianapolis, IN; great-granddaughter, Hailey Duke of Indianapolis, IN; great-granddaughter, Pressley Reeve of College Station; great-granddaughter, Francesca Duke of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Chloe Duke of Lufkin; great-grandson, Charles Duke of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Jennie Nell and Eddie Corbitt of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Jeanette Dorman of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

          She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles M. Duke; sisters, Kathryn Dorman, Evelyn Barley, and Mary Frances Hudiburg; and brother, Oscar Taylor Dorman.

          A reception will follow at Shafer Funeral Home, directly after the graveside service.
