Graveside services for Jack Edward Turner, 59, of Bald Hill, will be held Monday, February 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Horace Fletcher and Bro. Jackie Nichols officiating.
Mr. Turner was born October 23, 1958 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Henry Turner Jr. and Mary Ellen (Havard) Turner, and died Friday, February 9, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Turner was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed frog gigging and spent most of his time with his beloved dog, Doogie.
He is survived by his beloved pet, Doogie of Bald Hill; son and fiancé, Steven Tanner Turner and Lala Davis of Huntington; grandson, Taylor Turner of Huntsville; granddaughter, Madison Turner of Huntsville; sister, Donna White of Hudson; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Turner of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ronnie Turner.
Pallbearers will be Eric Turner, Rodney Turner, Craig White, Jon White, Justin McMahon, and Justin Hight.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
