Funeral services for Jerry Lynn (Blahuta) Bahn, 74, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches with Rev. John Cain officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Bahn went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Tyler. She was born November 11, 1943 in Robstown, Texas, to the late Jaro Rudolph Blahuta Sr. and Lola Cecil (Rounsaville) Blahuta.
Mrs. Bahn loved to travel around the United States and Europe. She enjoyed raising Monarch Butterflies and watching wild life. Mrs. Bahn was a great photographer. She was a member of Reedemer Lutheran Church, and was a part of the Nifty Fifties church group.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Keith Bahn of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jake Nash of Apple Springs; granddaughters, Harley and Kelsie; grandson, Levi , all of Apple Springs; brother, Rudy Blahuta Jr. of Pottsboro, Texas; brother-in-law and wife, David Bahn and Marlett of Kingsville, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Bahn was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Pavelka, Jim Pohlmeyer, Brian Oswald, Paul Hughes, Greg Baldock, and Cody Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Pohlmeyer, Cliff Kieschnick, Gary Manley, and Jim Pohlmeyer Sr.
Special memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2306 Appleby Sand Rd., Nacogdoches, Texas 75969.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches.
