Jessica Nadine Ferguson

          Funeral services for Jessica Nadine Ferguson, 29, of Etoile, will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Jerry Perritte officiating. Interment will follow at Shofner Cemetery.

          Mrs. Ferguson was born September 11, 1988 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of Michael Lee Mitchell and Zelda Nadine (Whittington) Ward, and died Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Huntington.

          Jessica loved to hunt and fish. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, especially taking them to the zoo and the park. Jessica loved critters’ of all kinds.

          She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Ferguson of Etoile; daughter, Kyley Ferguson of Douglass; son, Grayson Ferguson of Etoile; daughter, Ava Ferguson of Etoile; mother and step-father, Zelda and Geary Ward of Etoile; father, Mike Mitchell of Lumberton; brothers, Michael Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Johnathan Mitchell, and James Mitchell, all of Huntington; aunts and uncles, Juanitta and Jimmy Burnitt of Orange, Elvis and Denora Whittington of Vidor, Eva Smith of Vidor, Martha and Buddy Ross of Huntington, Theresa Whittington of Huntington, and Steve and Leona Whittington of Vidor; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          Jessica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dean Whittington; grandparents, Bob and Betty Mitchell; great-grandmother, Agnes Spell; cousin, Alton Earl Ross, Jr; and father-in-law, Ronald Ferguson Sr.

          Pallbearers will be Adam Harvey, Adam Womack, Timothy Johnson, Colton Cryer, Travis Ross, and Jimmy Russell.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Peterson, Bill Meadows, and the Pineywoods Jeep Peeple.

          Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN  38101.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
