Memorial services for Jim Duncan, 68, of Lufkin, will be held at a later date.

          He was born August 14, 1949 in Houston, Texas, the son of the late Basil Duncan and Ruth Sloan Duncan and died Friday, October 20, 2017 in Lufkin.

          Mr. Duncan was a hunter and loved to go to the gun range. He was an animal lover, especially dogs, and loved life. Mr. Duncan served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

          He is survived by his daughter, Destiny Page of Alvin, TX; daughter, Elaina Page of San Antonio; daughter, Jamie Page of San Antonio; daughter, Shara Page of San Antonio; daughter, Kari Fordham of Cape Carteret, NC; 6 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Dave Girod of Pasadena, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Gail Duncan of Columbus, TX; brother, Ricky Duncan of Huntsville; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gary Allen of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Belinda Duncan of New Orleans, LA; sister, Paulette Gilbreath of Lufkin; nieces, Emily Gilbreath, Kiarra McCoy, and Jaedyn McCoy; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

          Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Butch Duncan, and Johnny Duncan.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, directors.
