John Kodadek, 71, of Lufkin, was born July 5,1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late William John Kodadek, Sr. and Frances M. Ahern Kodadek, and died Friday, September 22, 2017 in a local Hospital.

          Mr. Kodadek served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corp, where he contacted Agent Orange, and therefore struggled with lung issues.

          He is survived by his sister, Nancy Coughlin of Lakeland, Florida; and sister, Jeannine Ulrich of The Villages, Florida.

          Mr. Kodadek was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James E. Kodadek.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
