Joseph Todd Basham Sr.

          Funeral services for Joseph Todd Basham, Sr., 45, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. John Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Gann Cemetery.

          Mr. Basham was born May 2, 1973 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of Joey Basham Jr. and Shawn (Taylor) Josey, and died Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Todd loved fishing, camping, hunting, and anything that was outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his wife, and loved cooking for his family. Todd enjoyed having get-togethers and was also a hard worker.

          He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ginger Basham of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kori Basham and James Perkins of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, PFC Joseph Jr. and Haley Basham stationed in Hawaii; daughter, Jonnie Basham of Lufkin; son, PFC Cory Snowden stationed in Ft. Riley, KS; granddaughters, Evie Perkins and Briley Perkins, both of Hemphill; sister, Ronnie Basham of Magnolia, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Christal and Nathan Iguess of Lufkin; brother, Shane Page of Trinity, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Coty and Jennifer Basham of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Lindsay and Chris English of The Woodlands; sister-in-law, Teresa Evans of  Cuero, TX; mother, Shawn Taylor of Trinity, TX; mother-in-law, Beverly Hand of Lufkin; special aunt, Helen Thrasher of Lufkin; special uncle, Don Basham of Clawson; special step-mother, Mae Ellen Tullos of Huntington; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          Todd was preceded in death by his father, Joey Basham Jr.; grandparents, Joe and Lillie Mae Basham; father-in-law, Wesley Hand; great-grandmother Johnnie O’Quinn; and special aunt, Bettie Smith.

          Pallbearers will be PFC Joseph Basham, Mike Love, Tony Russell, Wayne Elledge, James Perkins, PFC Cory Snowden, Steven Biggs, and Joe Willis.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Coty Basham, Shane Page, Nathan Iguess, John Taylor Evans, Cameron Basham, Garrett Evans, PFC Casin Boyd, Justin Basham, Art Rey, Roger Parks, Chris Moore, and Chris English.

          Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the funeral service.
