Juan De La Cruz

         A Memorial Mass for Juan De La Cruz, 64, of Diboll, will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Diboll with Fr. Raymundo Garcia officiating.

          Mr. De La Cruz was born September 26, 1954, in Mexico, the son of the late Albino De La Cruz and Amparo De La Cruz Martinez, and died Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mr. De La Cruz enjoyed serving his community and his Lord at his church, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Diboll. He also enjoyed the outdoors and visiting family and friends.

          He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria and Pedro Vasquez, Teresa and Jose Hinojosa, Rosa and Jose Iniguez, Bertha and Marcos Lara, Magda and Jesus Vasquez, and Gloria and Jorge Luna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raul and Chelsea De La Cruz, and Javier and Hortencia De La Cruz; brother, Jesus De La Cruz; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          Mr. De La Cruz was preceded in death by his parents, Amparo and Albino De La Cruz.

          Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. led by Deacon Gary Trevino.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
