Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Haskins, 78, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Mardy Guidry officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery.
Mr. Haskins was born October 11, 1939 in Henderson, Texas, the son of Bennie Haskins and Elizabeth (Harmon) Haskins, and died Monday, August 27, 2018 in Lufkin.
Mr. Haskins graduated Henderson High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University. After 3 years of service in the Army, he moved to Lufkin to join his father in the family business, Great Western Trucking Company, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Haskins of Lufkin; son, Steven Haskins of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Andrea Haskins of Moscow, Russia; grandson, Dylan Haskins of Lufkin; grandson, Christopher Haskins of Lufkin; grandson, Zachary Haskins of Moscow, Russia; mother, Marie Haskins of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Hayden and Pam Haskins of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Dixie Haskins of Lufkin; sister, Julia Luedtke of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Rene Haskins of Kingsbury, TX; brother-in-law, Clint Stephens of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mr. Haskins was preceded in death by his father and biological mother.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stephens, Mike Stephens, Glenn Haskins, Bradley Haskins, David Haskins, Joe Haskins, and Brian Paul Pruett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Norwood, Don Brown, Rick Fuller, Ike Porter, Aubrey Elliott, Adam Shocklee, Brad Bell, Kevin Smith, Pablo Torres, and Richard Adams.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin
