Linda Kathryn (Herring) Madden

          Funeral services for Linda Kathryn (Herring) Madden, 64, of Pollok, will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Berry Cemetery.

          Mrs. Madden was born January 20, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Andrew Anderson Herring and Doris Faye (Jones) Herring, and died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her residence.

          Mrs. Madden loved going camping and on family trips. She also loved her job and her three boys. Mrs. Madden was a big supporter of the Special Olympics for Ralph.

          She is survived by her husband, Wayne Madden; son, Ralph Adams Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Ceda Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Andrea Adams; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Tony Boles; grandchildren, Bradley Adams, Carrissa Adams, Shelbi Adams, Chloe Boles, Zachary Carrico, and Justin Carrico; great-grandchildren, Bentley Richards, Isabella Carrico, and MaKayla Carrico; sisters, Kathy Holloway, Jean Boles, Vickie Rector, and Melody Wallace; brothers, Rickie Herring, Richard Herring, Grady Herring, and Randy Herring; along with numerous extended family and special friend, Margaret Cunningham.

          Mrs. Madden was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Herring and Joe Herring; sister, Patricia Herring; and nephews, Trenton Mcaa, and Andy Herring.

          Pallbearers will be Kevin Adams, Kenneth Nerren, Mark Nerren, Randy Herring, Zachary Carrico, and Cody Nerren.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Nerren, Ralph Adams, Jason Adams, Ricky Herring, Richard Herring, Bradley Adams, Justin Carrico, and Grady Herring.

          The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Harbor Hospice Team: Frank, Wayne, Denise, Evette, Jenny, Christina, and Pastor Tim Roberts, as well as all family members who have supported Linda.       

           In lieu of flowers, special memorials may be to Harbor Hospice, 517 Gaslight Blvd., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

           Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
