Louise (Gauman) Baggett

          Private Graveside services for Louise (Gauman) Baggett, 74, of Lufkin, will be held at Liberty Hill Cemetery in San Augustine.

          Mrs. Baggett was born November 9, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Isiah Crain and Ina Grace Crain, and died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her residence, with family.

          Mrs. Baggett was a member of Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and birdwatching. Mrs. Baggett loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

          She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Coy and Andra Baggett of Marshall; granddaughter, Alexis Lea Baggett of Longview; granddaughter, Shelby Louise Baggett of San Marcos; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Billy Crabtree of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Paulette Crain of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Rebecca Crain of Palestine; niece and husband, Toni and David Murray of Huntington; niece and husband, Sonya and Mark Johnson of Huntington; niece, Fanny Mann of Lufkin; niece, Glenda Kuehn; niece, Ashley Stuart; nephew and wife, Richard and Barbie Crain of El Campo; niece, Wendy James; niece and husband, Ina and Larry Windham of Homer; nephew and wife, Bryan and Tammy Crain of Tyler; special friend, Freddie Nelson of Huntington; along with many other relatives and friends.

          Mrs. Baggett was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Baggett Jr.; husband, Russell Gauman; son, Troy Baggett; and brothers, Richard Crain, Lambert Crain, Robert Crain, and William Crain.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
