Martha (Paty) Ramirez

          Funeral services for Martha (Paty) Ramirez, 50, of Lufkin will be Thursday, February 22, 2018, at ­11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Lufkin with Pastor Ricardo Coss officiating.  Interment will follow at Newman Cemetery.

          Mrs. Ramirez was born September 6, 1967 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico, the daughter of Nereida De Jesus, and died Monday, February 19, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Ramirez loved to sing, dance, and go to church. She loved to make people laugh and smile.

          She is survived by her husband, Mario A. Ramirez; daughter, Patricia Ramirez; son, Mario A. Ramirez Jr.; granddaughter, Amelia Grace Rodriguez; sister and brother-in-law, Margarita and Carlos G. Rodriguez; sister and brother-in-law, Diana N. and Jeronimo Tovar; brother, Jose De Jesus; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christina and Miguel Ramirez Tonsul; sisters-in-law, Chayito Martinez and Agustin Martinez; brothers-in-law, Miguel and Marcos Ramirez Tonsul, and John G. Rodriguez Sr. and wife, Mari; nephews, John Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Katharyn, Axel Tovar, Joel Tovar, Jeronimo Tovar Jr., Gael Tovar, Arath Tovar, Adriel Tovar, Aaron Martinez, Francisco Hernandez, and Jose Luis Rodriguez ; nieces, Claudia High, Ilzhe Martinez, Selene Martinez, and Katy Rodriguez.

          Mrs. Ramirez was preceded in death by her mother, Nereida De Jesus.

          Pallbearers will be Mario A. Ramirez, Mario Ramirez Jr., John Rodriguez Jr., Axel Tovar, Joel Tovar, Jeronimo Tovar Jr., and John Rodriguez Sr.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Consuelo Flores, Karina Arrieta, Logan and Peggy Finch.

          Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
