A Celebration of Life service for Mike Bantz, 62, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Lufkin with Rev. Jennifer Steele-Lantis and Rev. Jack Knox officiating.
Mr. Bantz was born January 6, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Norman Omar Bantz and Carol Ann (Pruitt) Bantz, and died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Bantz grew up in Mineral Wells and Ft. Worth, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Mr. Bantz lived, worked and raised his family in San Antonio, Texas for 28 years. He then resided in Lufkin for the last 9 years, where he was a member of First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Missy Bolt Bantz; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Sam Nichols; daughter and fiancé, Courtney Bantz and Miles Mercer; mother, Carol Ann Bantz; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Bantz; aunt, Beverly Nix; mother-in-law, Shirley Bolt; brothers-in-law and wives, Steve and Marilyn Bolt, Gary and Pam Bolt, Eric and Ann Bolt, and Tracy and Crystal Bolt; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bantz was preceded in death by his father, Norman Bantz.
