Peggy J. Howell

          Funeral services for Peggy J. Howell, 61, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Jim Dunn officiating.

          Mrs. Howell was born March 13, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas, the daughter of the late Billy A. Wood and Lela Berniece (Bradshaw) Wood, and died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Howell loved owls, the sun, and working in her garden. She loved her fur babies.

          She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ronnie Howell of Lufkin; daughter, Tammy Mollohan of Ft. Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Bobby Lane of Pineland; son, Ronnie E. Howell Jr. of Palestine; daughter, Heather Howell of Palestine; son, Raymond John Alexander Jr. of Steamboats Springs, CO; son, Cody Howell of Lufkin; grandchildren, Alley, April, Dakota, David, Billy, Andrew, Eddie, Callie, Kinsey, Trey and Logan; great-granddaughters, Kara and Chasity; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Cindy Wood of Ft. Worth; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

          Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents and her favorite owl, Rufus.

          Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
