Sandra Bryant Havard

          Funeral services for Sandra Bryant Havard, 79, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, March 23, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Shafer Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Poage and Bro. Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow at the Gilbert Chapel Cemetery.

          Ms. Havard was born August 14, 1938 in Italy, Texas, the daughter of E. F. Bryant and Muriel M. (Wright) Bryant, and died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Lufkin.

          Ms. Havard graduated from Lufkin High School and was a member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. She was a great cook and loved to fish and play games. Most of all, Ms. Havard loved her Lord and Savior.

          She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Randy Barrett of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Gena and Ronnie Duhon of Diboll; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Debbie Havard of Cleveland, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Barrett, Rainee Gray, Tasia Nelson and husband, Bryan; Kyle Havard, Kali Condra and husband, Ryan, April Ivey, Samantha Ivey, and Katherine Havard; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie “Skeeter” and Beryl Bryant of Lufkin; and sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ricky Gresham of Lufkin.

          Ms. Havard was preceded in death by her son, Glen Havard Jr.; parents, E.F. and Muriel Bryant; and brothers, Jerry Bryant and Jimmy Bryant.

          Pallbearers will be Ryan Condra, Kyle Havard, Bryan Nelson, Paul Guess, Randy Barrett, and Lance Gray.

          Special Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 209 Christie St., Lufkin, Texas, 75904.

          The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Larkspur Transitional Care, CHI St. Luke’s Memorial Health’s 5th Floor, and Heart to Heart Hospice.

          Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
