Shanna Lee Tipton

            Memorial services for Shanna Lee Tipton, 43, of Kingwood, will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lufkin with Rev. Todd Jordan and Rev. Laura Campbell officiating.

          Shanna was born January 19, 1975 in Lufkin, Texas, to Cal and Carolyn (Harrell) Tipton, and passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at home in Kingwood with her family surrounding her. She passed away of Neuroendocrine cancer that she had fought hard for the past 2 years.

          Shanna graduated Stephen F. Austin State University with her degree in Education and loved being a teacher at Kingwood High School. She also loved to camp with friends and family. Shanna enjoyed traveling, doing things with her children, and spending time with her family and friends. She had many friends, especially her Porter VFW friends, whom she cherished dearly as did they cherish her.

          She is survived by her children, Ashtyn and Connor Price of Kingwood; parents, Cal and Carolyn Tipton of Lufkin; siblings, Tiffany and Clyde Jackson of Cypress, Chris and Billie Flowers of New Braunfels, Corey and Kelly Emsoff of Midland, and Cliff and Amy Emsoff of Andrews, TX; aunts and uncles, Ginger Krueger of Georgetown, Sue and Jim Heard of Grand Prairie, Bobby and Joyce Linsomb of Huntsville, and Carla Tipton of Trinity; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; as well as extended family, Beau and Venus Price of Kingwood, Denice and Kevin Marshall of Lufkin, and Caitlin Marshall of Kingwood.

          Shanna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and W.C. Tipton, Bennie and Roy Harrell, Judy Perkins, Kathy Nelson, Ronnie Tipton, and Larry Krueger.

          Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church Allen Parlor (805 E. Denman Ave., Lufkin, TX 75901) prior to the memorial service.
