Virginia Torres

         Virginia Torres, 63, of Lufkin, was born April 11, 1956 in Crockett, Texas, the daughter of the late Everette Leeland Nichols and Bessie Marie (Barnett) Nichols, and died Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Torres enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved old movies.

          Mrs. Torres is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Stefan Myst of Oklahoma; son, Jonathan Torres of Oklahoma; granddaughter, Alanna Nowlin; grandson, Conner Nowlin; sister, Clydene Runnels; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ken Rhoades; sisters-in-law, Patty Nichols and Charlene Nichols; and along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior Torres; brothers, Everette Nichols, Jimmy Nichols, Elvy Nichols, and Luther Nichols; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Robert Marshall.

          Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA  30329.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
