Memorial services for William Mack Simcoe, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Clawson Assembly of God Church in Pollok with Pastor Josh Poage officiating.
Mr. Simcoe was born November 15, 1958, in Beaumont, Texas, the son of the late William West Simcoe and Maxine (Marbel) Cornwell, and died Monday, December 31, 2018 in Lufkin.
Mr. Simcoe loved to work and would work seven days a week. He loved to help people and never met a stranger. Mr. Simcoe also loved to collect things.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Simcoe of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Lyndel Carden and Ana Landeros of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jamie Acosta of Lufkin; son, Clay Simcoe of Lufkin; grandsons, Kameron Holland, Justin Acosta, Joshua Williams, Bradly Knight, and Landon Landeros; granddaughters, Halle Carden, Emma Landeros, Taylor Acosta, Gabrielle Wallace, Bella Wallace, and Cadence Simcoe; brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Becky Byars of Nacogdoches; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Becky Simcoe of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Tom Southerland of Ft. Worth; sister, Vera Vess of Dallas; sister and partner, Patty Cornwell and Rita Davis of Azle, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Simcoe was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
