Funeral services for Willie Mae Martin, 87, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Lufkin with Bro. Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

          Mrs. Martin was born November 3, 1930, the daughter of Thomas Carroll and Ida Bond Carroll, and passed Thursday, November 30, 2017.

          She first and foremost, loved Jesus, then her family, serving her family and friends, and loving on her grand kids. Mrs. Martin enjoyed sewing, fishing, roses, and playing games. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Charles R. Martin of Lufkin; daughter, Loresa Loftin of League City, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Glynis and George “Tippy” David of Friendswood, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Andrew” and Terry Torrance Martin of Lititz, PA; grandson, Matt Loftin of Istanbul, Turkey; granddaughter and husband, Amanda Loftin  Mills and Aaron Mills of Pearland, TX; granddaughter, Frances Wheeland of Friendswood, TX; grandson, Colin David of Chicago, IL; grandson and wife, Charles “Ethan” Martin and Linsey Laserte of Westminster, MA; granddaughter, Avry Martin of Lititz, PA; great-granddaughter, Rylee Mills of Pearland, TX; great-granddaughter, Charlsey Wheeland of Friendswood, TX; great-grandson, Ayden Wheeland of Friendswood, TX; sister, Melba Carter of Tyler, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Pam Carroll of Weimar, TX; and brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Doris Carroll of Lufkin, TX.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ida Carroll; sister, Pearl Marlin; sister, Lucille Carroll; and brother, Clinton Carroll.

          Pallbearers will be George David, Colin David, Ethan Martin, Aaron Mills, Martin Johnson, and Mark Bartlett Jr.

          Honorary pallbearer will be Matt Loftin.

          Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service.
