Alice Angeline "Angel" Bevering

     Alice Angeline "Angel" Bevering passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2026, at the age of 82.

     Angel was born and raised in Petrolia, Texas, where she graduated from Petrolia High School and met the love of her life, Paul Bevering. They shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Although she was a resident of Zavalla, Texas, she spent most of her life in Charlie, Texas.

     Angel worked for several years at First National Bank in Wichita Falls and First National Bank of Byers before opening her own custom drapery business beside her home in Charlie. Her talent for designing and sewing beautiful custom window treatments brought joy to many customers over the years.

     She and Paul enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their RV with friends from the Texas Airstream Harbor Group, making memories that they treasured.  Above all, Angel was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.

     Angel is survived by her husband Paul Bevering; her son, John Paul Bevering, Jr., and wife, Shannon; grandsons Colton Bevering and wife, Kendall, and Lane Bevering and wife, Rebecca; great-granddaughter Oakley; and great-grandsons Elijah and Stetson.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Vivian Allen; her brother, Joseph "Bo" Allen; and her sister, Martha Ray Henderson.
