Alice was a woman of faith who expressed her love for God through music. She started playing the piano at age 5 for her father's church. She was self-taught and played by ear in several Pentecostal churches in Homer and Lufkin over the next 68 years. Alice was a mother of 1 and took the job of providing for her family seriously. She was in the workforce in Lufkin for 46 years. She worked at Kid's Stuff for 18 years and completed her career at Genco over the next 28 years. Alice loved to travel with her longtime friends. She was very meticulous with her yard and could be found raking and burning leaves on the weekend. Throughout life, Alice found joy in music and could often be found singing old hymns. She earned the nickname twinkle toes because she was always tapping her feet and smiling.
