Graveside services for Atanacio “Nacho” Arias, 88, of Diboll, will be held Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll, Texas.
Mr. Arias was born on September 18, 1936, in El Control, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to the late Juan Arias and Carmen (Salinas) Arias, and died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas.
Mr. Arias was a member of Iglesia Bautista La Casa Del Alfarero. He enjoyed traveling with his son, going to wrestling events, and watching TV. Mr. Arias was a good example to his family and a good person all around. He would help anyone in need.
He is survived by his son, Pablo Arias of Diboll; niece and husband, Silvia and Miguel Alvarez of Lufkin; great-niece and husband, Angelica and Carlos Gonzalez of Lufkin; great-nephew, Miguel Alvarez, Jr. of Lufkin; niece and husband, Adriana and Jose Guzman of Lufkin; great-nephew and wife, Javier and Katherine Serrano of Lufkin; great-nephew and wife, Juan Carlos and Alison Lerma of Lufkin; niece, Gabriela Benitez of Lufkin; great-niece, Natalia Benitez of Lufkin; great-nephew, Guillermo Benitez of Lufkin; great-nephew, Jonathan Betamen of Lufkin; great-nephew, Jose Luis Betamen of Lufkin; niece and husband, Teresa and Edit Rodriguez of Diboll; great-niece, Noelia Rodriguez of Diboll; great-nephew, Edwin Rodriguez of Diboll; great-niece, Jacqueline Rodriguez of Diboll; and great-niece, Azereth Rodriguez of Diboll.
Mr. Arias was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Consuelo; and his brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Pablo Arias, Miguel Alvarez, Jr., Javier Serrano, Jose Luis Betamen, Jonathan Betamen, and Carlos Gonzales.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
