Funeral services for Belinda (Jacobs) Smith, 66, of Pollok, will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Wes Matchett officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery.

          Mrs. Smith was born on August 15, 1959, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late H.C. Jacobs and Carolyn (Smith) Jacobs, and died Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her residence.

          Mrs. Smith was the 2nd of 4 children born to H.C. and Carolyn Jacobs. She attended Wells Public Schools and was an avid athlete. Mrs. Smith married her husband, Kenneth, on April 28, 1981, and together they had 2 children, Kisha and Leland. She worked for the TDJC from August 2007 until December 2021. Mrs. Smith enjoyed hunting and fishing all of her life. She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a 2 year battle with cancer. May God take away her pain and welcome her home.

          She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth “Gator” Smith of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Kisha and Jamie McGuire of Burke; son and daughter-in-law, Leland and Zenda Smith of Pollok; grandson and wife, Hunter and Zuri Shurley; granddaughter, Kalyn Benner; grandson, Levi Jeffrey; granddaughter, Emma Smith; granddaughter, Ava Smith; great-grandson, Jacob Kelly; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Robert Kalka of Wells; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Angela Jacobs of Katy; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Casey Malnar of Wells; numerous step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robbie Jacobs and Dennis Jacobs; and grandson, Heath McAdams.

          Pallbearers will be Kenneth Smith, Charles Jacobs, J.D. Malnar, Conner Malnar, Hope Kalka, and Amanda Jacobs.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
