Obituary
Memorial services for Betty Mae Beard, 89, of Huntington, will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington with Pastor Ken Donaghue officiating.
Mrs. Beard was born on April 11, 1934, in Angelina County, Texas, to the late James Preston Grimes and Velma Davis Grimes, and died Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Beard loved her family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Mrs. Beard was a faithful member at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church and Heights Baptist Church of Houston.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Hubert Earl Beard of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Hubert Early Jr. and Renne Beard of Huntington; son, Donald Glenn Beard of Huntington; son, Byron Daniel Beard of Wells; 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sister, Bertie Jane Walker of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
