Beverly Marie Kwiatkowski Obituary

        Funeral Mass for Beverly Marie Kwiatkowski will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12 Noon at St Andrew the Apostle Church with Father Joby Thomas officiating. Following her chosen wishes for cremation, arrangements are entrusted with Shafer Funeral Home.

        Beverly Marie Kwiatkowski, 89, was born April 8, 1935, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Rose (Zaremba) Gusicara and Jacob Gusicara. She passed away November 4, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas.

        Beverly grew up in Buttonwood, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Hanover High School in Hanover Green, Pennsylvania in 1953. After High School, she began a career in banking in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Soon after Beverly met the man who would be by her side for the next 56 years, Joseph Kwiatkowski Sr. This union produced two sons, two daughters and four grandchildren. She loved to travel, with fond memories of traveling and RV camping all over the United States as a family. After her children were grown, she returned to the retail industry. Shortly after, she relocated to Lufkin in 1979, with her husband to open Lufkin Fasteners.

        Beverly was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is remembered for her determination, quick wit, and being always on the move. She was a distance runner until discovering a passion for golfing, which extended to a joy of keeping up with the LPGA and PGA in her later years. She was a lifelong devoted Catholic and member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

        Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ana Kwiatkowski of Panama City Beach, Florida and their daughter Christina and husband Eric Santiago; son Joseph Kwiatkowski Jr. of Lufkin, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Elias Kougianos of Denton, Texas; daughter, Debra Kwiatkowski of The Woodlands, Texas and her daughters Johanna and husband Robert Belmont, Chelsea and Allison; nieces Patricia Mooney and Leslie Gall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

        Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Kwiatkowski Sr., her parents, maternal grandmother Anna Zaremba, brothers Walter Gusicara, Chester Gusicara, Stanley Gusicara, sisters Mary Gusher, Stephanie Dvorak, Roseanne Knorr.

        The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of AQua Dialysis, and the staff of Pinnacle Superior Senior Living.
