Funeral services for Billy Joe Knight Sr., 54, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Interment will follow at Aldredge Cemetery.

          Mr. Knight was born on November 11, 1969, in Lufkin, Texas, to  Clifford Leo Knight and Kathy Banks, and died Thursday, March 28, 2024, in Huntington.

          Mr. Knight enjoyed spending time going hunting and fishing with his boys. He liked doing a good puzzle. He was a tinker and could be found tinkering on all different kinds of projects. Above all Mr. Knight loved his family especially his grandchildren.

           He is survived by his son and wife, Billy Joe knight Jr. and Jen Knight of Huntington; son, Aaron Knight of Huntington; son and wife, Jacob and Hope Knight of Diboll; son, James Knight of Pollok; daughter Kathryn Knight of Lufkin; grandchildren, Walker, Paisley, Emberlee, Delilah, and Amaryllis; mother, Kathy Banks; and brother, Shaun Knight of Huntington.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Leo Knight; brother, John Michael Knight; and sister, Cynthia Ann Knight.

          Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Knight Jr., Aaron Knight, Jacob Knight, James Knight, Cody Knight, and Shaun Knight.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Kathryn Knight,  Jeffrey Clopp, and Ricky Maloid.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home.
