Billy "BJ" Jay Addison Sr.

          Funeral services for Billy “BJ” Jay Addison Sr., 71, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Rev. Maynard Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Old Center Cemetery in Huntington.

          Mr. Addison was born on December 21, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, to the late John Warren Addison Sr. and June Elizabeth Addison, and died Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Lufkin.

          Mr. Addison loved working and worked for Lufkin Industries for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and big trucks.   

          He is survived by his wife, Billie Addison of Lufkin, TX; son and wife, Billy Jay Jr. and Michelle Addison of Frisco, TX; son, Kelly Wayne Addison of Chandler, TX; daughter and husband Liz and Troy Stahlheber of Tyler, TX; daughter and husband, Pamela and Danny Redd of Huntington, TX; son, Chris Lord of Etoile, TX; son and wife, Chris and Tamecia McAdams of Zavalla, TX; daughter and husband, Heather and Micheal Jackson of Hudson, TX; son and daughter, Joey and Hannah Addison of Lufkin, TX; honorary son and wife, Dalton and Kelsey Massey of Dallas, TX; honorary son and wife, Rudy and Summer Camacho of Huntington, TX; honorary son and wife, Ross and Patsy Witt of Lufkin, TX; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, John Warren Addison of Canton, TX; brother, David McNeil of Livingston, TX; sister, Shelia Lowry of Hudson, TX; sister, Anna Hockaday of Wills Point, TX: along with numerous nieces and nephews.       .

          He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Ann Bryan.  

          Pallbearers Johnny Naron, C.J. McAdams, Dalton Windham, Cory Snowden, Joseph Basham, and Dale Roland. 

          Honorary pallbearers will be Colten Addison, Rudy Camacho, Ross Witt, and Dalton Massey.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
